href="http://www.cprcertificationfaq.com/">CPR certification, if you are not familiar with these CPR guidelines then you are definitely risking the life of the person who is already on the verge of death. For sharpening your practical and theoretical knowledge regarding CPR, it is imperative for you to get accustomed with the following CPR guidelines.

These guidelines will ensure that you are able to successfully save a life from the clutches of death by Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation techniques.

You first need to check whether the person is breathing or not. Call an ambulance immediately and try to wake up the patient if he has become unconscious and is still breathing. In case he is not breathing, you should start giving him chest compressions. In case you have never received any sort of training in CPR, then also you should continue giving chest compressions to the patient till any help from the hospital arrives.

In case you have got training in CPR then you are obviously aware of what you have to do next. Once you have given 30 chest compressions, you know that you need to start providing rescue breathing to the patient. By utilizing the head-tilt and chin-lift method, you should pinch the nose of the patient, seal his mouth with yours and start giving mouth-to-mouth breathing.

It is imperative for you to know that Chest Compressions are essential and crucial. If you feel awkward in giving rescue breathes, then at a rate of 100 per minute continue giving chest compressions.

You should chafe your knuckles against the patient’s sternum in case he is breathing but very briskly.

Before you start a CPR do not forget to call an ambulance.

Though these CPR guidelines are helpful, it is a must for you to get fully trained in this technique. Your proficiency and training will reflect in your increased confidence and no fear while you are busy saving a life.

How Vital Are CPR Classes?

Uncategorized

cpr certification courses and other life saving techniques are considered to be vital and mandatory for everyone is because of the fact that these techniques are actually very effective and efficient in saving the life of a person who has suddenly stopped breathing or has suffered a heart attack. When a person has stopped breathing or his heart has stopped pumping blood, he has only 5-6 minutes left for regaining his senses and living again. In these 5 minutes if no CPR is given to him, he will not survive. If in case you are with such a person or are around one and you are unaware of how a CPR is done, then you will see him die because no ambulance can reach in such a short span of time.

Solely because of this reason, it is essential for you and for everyone to take up CPR classes, so that when the time demands you can save a life proficiently. CPR classes can be undertaken online these days and associations like the Red Cross or the American Heart Association offer such courses both through their websites and in personal. For today’s young generation, such CPR classes should be made compulsory so that they are confident and aware of how to save a life in distressing conditions. CPR is one of the fundamental techniques that every human being should be aware of. It is a part of becoming more conscious towards ourselves and towards the society.

If you are interested in taking up CPR classes, then you can get yourself enrolled in one such program currently being organized by your near by hospital or clinic. At many organizations free CPR classes are offered for mass awareness. If you have some commutation problems, then join online classes and free yourself from traveling quandaries.

Important and Effective CPR Steps

Uncategorized

CPR steps for saving lives in conditions that are difficult and extremely sensitive. There may be times when you’ll be able to utilize what you are going to learn today, though we pray you never get into such conditions. Since we all are fully aware of the uncertainties of life, we just can’t take chances and therefore get ourselves acquainted with life saving techniques like the CPR, way in advance. If you have not yet got accustomed with the same, then learn some important CPR steps right here, today.

CPR is used in conditions when a person has suffered from a cardiac arrest, a heart attack or a respiratory arrest. It helps excellently in defibrillation process and in supplying some blood back to the heart for re-continuation of body processes. In this, the person aware of the CPR certification techniques makes use of the following steps for ensuring that the patient regains consciousness:

Clearing the way

Mouth to mouth rescue breathing

Chest compression

You can follow the below mentioned CPR steps for saving a precious life:

First of all, clear the way and let some fresh air to come in. Check the current status of the person and whether or not he is conscious. CPR should be used on unconscious patients.

You should now place your palm on the sufferer’s forehead and tilt his head gently. Now for sensing breathing, tilt his chin slightly. Notice the movement of his chest too.

In case the patient is not able to breathe properly, pinch his nose and fasten his mouth open with yours and supply oxygen for facilitating breathing. Give mouth to mouth breathing for approximately 2 seconds and notice some improvement, and do it again.

You should then try to restore the blood circulation by chest compressions. Do it at a rate of 2 per second hard and fast.

Again make open the airway, provide mouth to mouth breathes twice and 30 chest compressions. This is the first cycle. You need to give 5 cycle of 2 rescue breathes and 30 chest compressions each for approximately 2 minutes.

Notice improvement in the condition of the patient and timely shift him to the nearest hospital.

Important Info About CPR Certification

Uncategorized

CPR certification that have been developed for saving the lives of patients who suffer from ventricular fibrillation, which quivers the heart and in severe cases leads to cardiac arrest. But one technique that is universally used for safeguarding lives of patients in such distressing and severe conditions is cardio-pulmonary resuscitation or more popularly known as CPR. Till date it has saved many lives and is thus considered one of the crucial and important discoveries of all times.

CPR helps incredibly in delivering a small amount of blood to the heart that initiates the defibrillation process and continues the body’s mechanism for sustaining life. Nurses, doctors, physicians, chiropractors, lifeguards, camp counselors, and even some teachers require CPR certifications. Those who are involved in saving lives at hospitals and other important places are required to get such certifications for being able to utilize this technique proficiently.

A CPR certification prepares a person well in advance for withstanding any severe circumstance where he/she has to save a life. This certificate can be received from hospitals, fire departments and websites online that deals with a similar subject. One certificate is valid for 2 years and after completion of this time period the person is required to apply for recertification. There are various levels of certifications that are proffered depending upon the occupation of the person and off course his initial experience in handling such conditions.

Community level certification

Professional certification

Infant and child care level certification

In community level certification, interested candidates are made proficient in performing a CPR on older children and adults. Because of the effectiveness and capability of this technique to initiate the process of defibrillation in the body and sending some blood back to the heart, does not let the person die even if he has suffered from a cardiac arrest. CPR, if given on time, can save a precious life on the verge of dying.

Learning to implement CPR techniques is essential and requires at least some practice. Mere knowledge of these techniques will not help you surmount enough courage to actually use them to save a life. Thus, it becomes imperative from you to take up a CPR certification course (which is available for free as well) at your nearest health care centre.

With the increased dependence and domination of the internet and off course its mass reach, many popular and reliable health care centers and associations have developed online CPR courses for those who are interested, but because of the time constraint aren’t able to join one. Such courses are available at minimum possible charge that is affordable by one and by all. It is a short course of a few days or a month and its certifications are valid for 2 years. Once the period expiries, a CPR certificate holder has to apply for re-certifications.

All the basic and advanced CPR techniques are taught in a CPR course. The kinds of proficiency you receive from such courses also depend majorly on your profession and purpose of doing such a course. Basic techniques like chest compression, airway clearance and mouth-to-mouth breathing are taught to most course level candidates. If you do not want to get practical proficiency and are interested solely in theoretical knowledge then such CPR courses are available as well.

Contact

<guid

Certainly, you would want to call your local emergency response team but what if there was something you could do to help save that precious life while waiting for help to arrive. Knowing how to respond and what those critical first steps are in an emergency could help save a life.

Almost anyone can learn those important first steps by enrolling in a first aid certification class in their community. You will be taught under which conditions one must begin CPR even before calling for help and how to asses the scene of an emergency to ensure it is safe for you to approach a victim. From treating less serious injuries at home, work or on the playground to helping someone whose heart has stopped beating, a life can depend on knowing how to react to just about any situation. No one expects to have a serious accident but being prepared in the event one does occur is something we all have a responsibility to be ready to deal with.

There are many levels of first aid training and which one is most appropriate for your particular life situation will depend on the people you are most likely to come in contact with daily and whom you would most likely need to perform first aid on. Most communities provide first aid certification courses in various levels. From basic first aid and CPR to more advanced training that is designed for those who work in health care settings and employees in child care facilities as well as those with young children or elderly parents in their care.

Once you have successfully completed a first aid training course, it is important to take a first aid recertification class on a regular basis; generally every two or three years depending on the program level. Organizations such as the Red Cross and St. John’s Ambulance together with health care professionals are constantly reviewing procedures and methods to improve the chances of saving a life and frequently issue changes in these procedures. Because of these periodic changes, recertification is as important as taking an initial first aid training course. Children can also learn safety awareness in their home, school and neighborhood, how to call for help and how to recognize an emergency. Youth as young as 11 or 12 years of age can also enroll in babysitting courses that will help prepare them for the responsibilities of caring for children and what to do in an emergency situation.

Knowing how to respond and what to do when we come across someone in need can save a life. Of course not everyone needs advanced first aid training such as medical professionals have but even basic first aid and CPR can help in saving lives. Most communities offer training at a variety of levels that almost anyone can learn. Contacting your local Red Cross, St. John’s Ambulance or even your town’s hospital, department of education or community center can help you find appropriate courses where you live.

Most first aid training can be completed in one or two day sessions and are often tailored to meet the needs of the participants. Upon completion, students will receive their first aid certification which must be renewed at regular intervals to ensure that new research and procedures are kept up to date. Some of the classes available along with a typical course outline are as follows:

Standard First Aid and CPR

This course is designed to give participants the skills needed to respond to emergencies in both the home and in the workplace. Certification at this level lasts for 3years and includes Standard First Aid, CPR Level C as well as AED certification in regions where local legislation permits. Topics will generally cover:

First steps in responding to an emergency situation

Airway emergencies

The EMS system

Environmental emergencies

Breathing and circulation

Wound care

Head and Spine injuries

Respiratory and cardiac arrest

Bone, joint and muscle injuries

Emergency First Aid and CPR

This course gives students an overview of CPR and First Aid that is appropriate for home or the workplace. You will learn how to recognize and respond to such emergencies as choking, breathing and airway emergencies as well as cardiovascular situations in adults. Upon successful completion students will receive their Emergency First Aid and CPR level C certification and where legislation permits their AED certification. These must be renewed every 3 years. Some of the topics covered will include:

Respiratory and cardiac arrest

Being prepared to respond appropriately

Breathing and circulation

Understanding, Check – Call – Care procedures

Airway emergencies

The local emergency response system

Other levels of first aid training are available and depend largely on workplace requirements and the types of emergencies one might encounter such as adults caring for their aging parents or parents who want to be prepared for emergencies within the home, playground, etc. It is also important to introduce children as young as 5 years of age to be aware of safety at home, school and in their neighborhood as well as how to call for help if needed. Youth who are 11 years or older can also take a babysitting course which will teach them the responsibilities of their job, child care skills and what to do in an emergency.

Another important topic that most first aid training classes will include is that everyone should have a first aid kit and the items that should be included. A typical first aid kit in one’s home or cottage should contain:

Emergency phone numbers

Home and office contact numbers of people who can help in an emergency

Sterile gauze pads

Adhesive tape

Rolls and triangular bandages

Assorted adhesive bandages

Scissors

Tweezers

Safety pins

Instant ice packs

Disposable non latex gloves

Flashlight (extra batteries in a bag)

Antiseptic wipes (or soap)

Paper and pencil

Emergency blanket

Eye patches

Thermometer

Face shield or pocket mask

Change for a pay phone

First aid manual
